Director SS Rajamouli unveiled the title and first look motion poster of his upcoming film RRR on Ugadi. The team had named the film RRR – referring to Rajamouli, actors Ram Charan and NT Rama Rao and asked film lovers to suggest an appropriate title.
The Telugu title is Raudram Ranam Rudhiram and the motion poster depicts Ram Charan as an avatar of the element Agni and NTR as water. What happens when both these forces come with immense energy?

RRR is a fictional story involving freedom fighters Alluri Sitaram Raju and Komaram Bhima. At a press conference last year, Rajamouli said that inspiration came from Motorcycle Diaries. He had said that RRR would be set in pre-independent India in the 1920s, and that Ram Charan would play the role of a younger version of Alluri Sitarama Raju, while NTR would play the role of younger Komaram Bhima.
Before the title was revealed, Rajamouli tweeted on Wednesday: “It is time for the global crisis. We wanted to do our bit in raising the spirits of all. We are launching a long overdue title logo with a motion poster. “He said that his team members are working from their respective homes and he has urged everyone to stay indoors during the lockout.”
In English, capturing RRR as the Rise Rover Rebellion, the team confirmed that the film’s release date is January 8, 2021.

RRR also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson. Produced by DVV Danayya, the crew includes some prominent Bahubali members – Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, dialogue writer Sai Madhav Boora, cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar, production designer Sabir Cyril and music composer M Keeravani. V Srinivasa Mohan is the visual effects supervisor, the film will be edited by Srikar Prasad and the costumes are designed by Ram Rajamouli.
